Ildus Elderon

The wizard Ildus Elderon born in 1285 DR was a former native of Tethyr. He became a wizard of moderate power using his art to aid merchants and the common folk. Ildus was never known to have used his magic for adventuring. Instead he trained students in the practice of magic and cast spells for coin to support his self.
In 1347 DR Ildus left Tethyr after the “Ten Black Days of Eleint” brought chaos and insecurity to the Kingdom of Tethyr. He settled for a time in Scornubel where once again sold his services to shopkeepers, craftsmen, and merchants before relocating to Waterdeep in 1353. Ildus was an old mage when he took a young Tellazar Hemzall in as an apprentice of the arts. Tellazar would be the last pupil accepted to his tutelage before his death. In late 1363, Ildus and a young housekeeper were slain by another of his pupils, Trell Blackhorn. Mortally wounded, Ildus asked Tellazar to take his runestaff to Gorund Hardwand, a former pupil in Silverymoon.
